Innovamat is a K-12 educational startup focused on bringing the science of math learning and teaching to the classroom.

We have built a PreK-8 math curriculum to structurally change the way students learn, leaving the textbook and workbook behind.

Our curriculum allows students to develop all conceptual understanding through discussion and manipulation, while developing problem solving, reasoning and communication skills.

We have created an all-in-one product ecosystem, from manipulatives to a self-adaptive practice App, to allow them to change their role from lecturing to facilitating and to save teachers time on non-pedagogical tasks.

We are more than 320 Education and math enthusiasts. Together, we’ve been able to reach more than 1,800 schools in 7 countries (United States, Spain, Italy, Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Ecuador) with more than 300,000 students and 15,000 teachers falling in love with us. We also have:

• A gamified platform that allows individualized learning so each student can keep up with it
• More than 5000 resources that help improve maths learning

Your mission 👨‍💻👩‍💻

You will participate in the conceptualization and creation process of our product.

You will collaborate in the creation and evolution of the different APIs responsible for serving each application.

You will compile and analyze data and processes to identify problems and areas for improvement.

You will design and implement new features to be added to our product, following clean code and best practices.

You will help optimize the development and deployment processes of your team’s application..

You will contribute by proposing any new initiatives, functionalities, improvements and good practices that help us improve and be at the forefront of technology.

What are we looking for?🔍--> 💻

• Solid knowledge of our main tech stack: PHP + MySQL.
• Hands-on experience with Symfony framework.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Knowledge of docker’s ins and outs.
• Comfortable working with agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with the set of AWS services.
• Testing First mentality.
• Devops culture.
• Clean Code and software craftperson advocate.
• Familiar with concepts like SOLID, hexagonal architecture, DDD, Design Patterns, etc.
• Wild learner.

If would be great if you have...

• Knowledge of any other programming language.
• You have entered the world of Kubernetes.
• Experience in start-ups and/or fast-growing companies with a SaaS model.
• Having worked with asynchronous and distributed systems.
• Experience with non-relational databases.
